FRIGHT NIGHT

This event occurs every year and has done for the past 10 years, FRIGHT NIGHT occurs every october for the Halloween period. It is set up till late at night so that all the main rides are open in the dark. However running around the theme park are people dressed up as zombies and infected people that grab you and chase you to give you a live feel for the terror used in films such as SAW. This sort of event would give a good idea of make up and even characteristics towards our film trailer also we would be able to experience first hand the tense atmosphere and sheer horror.

One of the members of our group attended this event with a group of friends. She captured some of the key events that occured that day, this included the actors who walked around interacting with people, the sets of certain rides such as the saw maze which included live actors and sets made up which are seen in the real films and also props which were left around the park.
All of these added to the horror atmosphere when it hit 6pm it went dark and the actors came out dressed head to toe in makeup and character outfits chasing people around the park and interacting with everyone. Also they put out props such as the beheaded dummy as seen on the left, this was a very dramatic and gruesome add to the park as one of their main rides ran over
the top of these dummies so that you were face to face. However the biggest attraction was the Saw Alive Maze. This entailed live actors who were given permission to grab people who chose to enter and would shout and scream in their faces chasing them about the building. Each section was made up to reflect key scenes from the film such as the slaughter house with all authentic props and live actors this added to the horrific experience. Whilst experiencing this the one member of our team took notice that the addition of small props such as the beheaded dummies and use of theatrical makeup all added up to create an authentic terrifying atmosphere.
